Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 9, 2026 · LIVERSE CO., LTD. (BOTDAM)

This translation is provided for convenience and has not been legally reviewed for English-speaking jurisdictions. The Korean-language original is the authoritative version.

LIVERSE CO., LTD. (the "Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws, and has established and disclosed the following Privacy Policy to safely protect the personal information of users of BOTDAM (the "Service"). Because BOTDAM lets you try the Service immediately as a guest without logging in, most of the items below are collected minimally regardless of whether you are logged in.

1. Personal Information Collected

  • When using as a guest: a guest session identifier issued to your browser (cookie), age group (selected from under 14 / 14–17 / 18 and older), and usage language — we do not collect your name, email, or phone number.
  • When signing up or logging in: email address, name, and social login identifier (if linked).
  • While using the Service: conversation content with characters (for relationship and memory features), access IP, service usage records, and device/browser information.
  • For self-created characters: the name, personality, speaking style, and background settings you enter in the character creation wizard.

2. Purposes of Use

  • Member identification, authentication, and provision, maintenance, and improvement of the Service.
  • Maintaining conversation context with AI Characters, and providing memory and relationship-level features.
  • Applying age-appropriate safety policies (see Section 4) — blocking inappropriate interactions.
  • Sending notifications based on My Page notification settings (chat and credit alerts); delivery channels are rolled out progressively.
  • Preventing fraudulent use and fulfilling legal obligations.

3. Retention and Use Period

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay upon account withdrawal or once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. For guest use, the associated profile and conversation history are deleted when the guest session cookie expires or upon the user’s direct request. Where applicable law requires a separate retention period, information is retained for that period.

4. Protection of Minor Users

The Service verifies the user’s age group (under 14 / 14–17 / 18 and older) upon first creating a character or entering a conversation.

  • Under age 14: full use is restricted without a legal guardian’s consent, and guidance for accompanied guardian use is provided.
  • Ages 14–17: romantic or sexual interaction content is blocked, and speech related to self-harm, violence, or bullying is detected in real time, with information about professional counseling services provided (the AI does not present itself as a counselor).
  • The Service prohibits character speech that asks users for personal information such as name, address, phone number, or social media accounts, and AI Characters disclose that they are "AI" at the start of every session.

5. Provision to Third Parties and Outsourced Processing

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the user’s consent. However, for stable operation of the Service, processing is outsourced as follows.

  • Cloud infrastructure: Vercel (hosting), our own PostgreSQL (db.endolping.com — storing conversations and profiles).
  • AI processing: Anthropic (generating character responses) — under its API terms, data transmitted is not used to train its models.

6. User Rights and How to Exercise Them

Users may check their own conversation history and settings on My Page at any time, and may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of their personal information via the contact details below.

7. Measures to Ensure Security of Personal Information

The Company implements technical and administrative safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access control, signing and verification of guest sessions (sealed sessions), and access log management.
